“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.” Romans 13:1, 7
Lord, we live in a nation that is free to elect those chosen for public office. We confess that the servants who are chosen are there with your approval. Let us faithfully support those elected to office, giving honor to their position. Let us help them fulfill the obligation and responsibility of our nation. With prayer and understanding, let us unite ourselves to the one purpose of living a life in which “In God We Trust.” In the name of Jesus, amen.
